I think Razer meant "The Sinking Barge". (I have a Salary Sacrifice, 13" Crumpler as well as a 15" King Single) myself.

Both pricy I agree ($220-$240 each depending on 13" or 15") but I buy it once and it lasts a lifetime (well years...)

I gotta thumbs up Crumpler as well, having been using their bags way before they became cool... One of their older backpacks - The Formal Lounge - is my vote for the best ever laptop & camera backpacks to travel with. It's almost like it was designed by someone who wanted to make sure the bag couldn't get ripped open by a thief on a train or on the street.

These days I interchange between my backpack and my Very Busy Man Crumpler bag that I bought years and years ago. It's travelled the world, and still looks practically new.

I got myself this bag yesterday for $250 from Rushfaster. Very nice bag and lots of space.

I got an "ocean and earth" backpack, designed as a school bag. Main zip opens front and bottom sides of the bag in one piece ,so easy to pack everything. Fits in the overhead locker. To avoid excess luggage charges on checked luggage I have put an underwater video housing, still digital housing, dive regulator set, dive computer, ipod, book, noise cancelling headphones and a change of clothes in it. Cost about $50 from a surf shop.

Lot easier to fit everything with one main pocket that opens right out. The other plus it doesn't scream "i have a valuable computer inside this bag, please rob me"

I have an Axio Swift Carbon will fit a 17" MBP and some, looks fast and doesn't look like a laptop bag. It is rather pricey got mine as a gift.

Over budget but the best so far. I wanna find one and have a play with it now.

What's it called exaclty?

That said though, $400 isn't much more ridiculous than $250 spend on a bag - Maybe I should try and find the solar panel jobby and have a play with it and compare it to this one....

thanks for the comments everyone!

This thread is pretty funny....geek bag.

I think I could probably qualify as having a geek bag when I went overseas last year.

17" powerbook in a sleeve/glove thingy
iPod + Sure in-ear mointors + charger
Camera
Camera lens cleaning kit
3 extra batteries + two chargers
Card reader
Extra memory cards
DVI-VGA cables, usb cables, ethernet and phone cables, AC adapter, international adapter head thing, iPod firewire cable, phone charger
external BT mouse
Mobile + charger + extra SIM card<< no idea why lol
drinks
jacket
random maps/brochures
All in a giant STM backpack...there aren't many good laptop backpacks out there that will fit a 17" powerbook G4 I love the backpack though, very comfortable.

Still waiting for photos of other people's bags!

And meanwhile I spent this month's geek fund on a new grill for the car..

I'm in exactly the same position and the Crumpler fits the bill for me. Now I just have to get one the next time I'm in Australia. They may be overpriced, but I could consider "overpriced" the many and varied bags I have which add up to more cost than what a single Crumpler will. I can then sell or give away the rest of my unneeded bags.
