No more free SMS

It appears that Callwave is dropping free SMS service for numbers outside US and Canada

Quote:
Thanks for using the CallWave SMS Text Messaging service. We've heard from many customers that they'd like to be able to send more international SMS messages each day. So, we've made some changes.
How it works
With the upgraded service, you can send up to 10 international SMS messages for free. These messages can be sent all in one day or whenever you want. After that, you can buy additional international SMS credits at a low rate
US$5 50 international SMS messages
US$10 100 + 10 bonus = 110 SMS
US$20 200 + 30 bonus = 230 SMS

It appears so. I guess this is to ease you in into the paid service

Have a look at PennyTel, the primary business is VoIP but they've got free SMSes (Australia and International), and the company is Australian. You'll have to send them from the website because there's no client for the Mac, but there's a well documented API (iSlayer?).
