Whats your favourite mobile phone and why?

Hi,

My favourite mobile phone is my nokia 6288.

This phone has all the requirements i need, like video talk, which i use alot, email.

Plus heaps more

Bit bulky in the front pocket, and takes average photo's for 2mp camera, but has exellent interface..

And also sync's to mac real easy via bluetooth.

As i dont need a business type of phone im happy.

Cheers

I can see this thread just going on forever and ever...

You only like it because you just got it. It's a pretty mediocre phone, I have one.

The Nokia 8210 and 3210 and 5110 are the pinnacle in phone design for me. They worked well and still do. This was when Nokia was an innovative company.

Motorola has their F3 phone for developing markets, which is only $60 here. Looks great and is nice and simple with long battery life, good form factor and cheap. If I wasn't locked into my contract with 3, I'd grab the F3 until the iPhone comes along

Yes your right, i had a motorola v3 but had really sluggish interface, even after modding it !

The f3 is very smart and my daughters all want one,so there's really no guessing the target market.

Affordable with the recent classy looks from motorola,"hello Moto" says it all.

I have a Hiptop2. The two stands for how many years old the tech in this thing is, but you've got to love the swivel screen!!

I also have the Hiptop2. I got it simply because of the amazingly cheap data/SMS plan which is paired with the device. On top of that I have the e-penis extending claim of having the first commercially available Hiptop in Australia, so I can pretend to be a trendsetter...or something.

My favourite mobile phone? I think for looks the Sony Ericsson W950i has to be up there, the interface looks great and it couples a slim-line handset with decent features. Lacking a forward-facing camera though.

Least-favourite mobile phone would have to be the V3 RAZR, without a doubt. Please don't ever get that thing near me or its going out the nearest window or into the nearest river.

Nokia 2112, excellent coverage. It does all that a phone needs to, send and recieve messages and make phone calls. I have an ipod, digital camera and a mac; why does one need anythign more?

My Nokia 3530, 'cause I've had it for over four years now and it's still as good as new. Does everything I need it to, although Bluetooth would be handy. The battery is also great as I still can easily get six days on standby.

There're bugs in the syncing interface for the 6288 - it's essentially a revision of my 6280. The bugs are slight, but they're there, and they are annoying when you find them. My 6280 crashes when viewing videos, it freezes when you try and listen to music and do other things, and occasionally it drops out of reception and needs to be restarted. The battery life is also pretty shite. Hows the battery life on the 6288?

I like my 6230i, because it doesn't screw me around like my last phone (v3) and it does all that I need at the moment.

In regards to nokia 6288,

Yes shite describes it exactly,
Play a java game for about 3 hrs then its close to flat, but on standby,it last about 10 days,

Not the best, but i got it for the plan (it was free)

Talk time about 3 hrs....

Best phone I ever had was my old Seimens I had. The next best one would have been my Ericsson GH337. I think that was the best phone ever made for it's time.

I currently have a Motorola ROKR E1. Good, solid and heavy. Built like a brick shithouse. Not flimsy like the current Sony Ericssons and Nokia. They feel like they're made from very cheap plastic.

And the insides are almost made of tissue. I regularly see a mobile phone repairer mate of mine, and he shows me the most returned phone, and why they break. The E1 was chosen because of the opposite to these phones.
