strange, googlemaps is missing part of my street that adjoins the main rd, but shows my long driveway all the way down to the river.

I used Google Maps the whole time I was in the US in January. It's an awesome service. Having it on the iPhone would seal the deal for me.

That's very cool. And I agree: Whereis is dead - horrible slow pokey site that it was.

Now we just need lots of Australian businesses to add their details to truelocal, which is apparently where Google Maps sources its business info from.

Just downloaded Google Maps for my Treo and it works great. Driving directions and finding businesses in Australia also work on it.

Now I might have to add a data plan to my mobile account, or this could get expensive!

There is also a new version for Windows Mobile devices (use previous link - above).

I'm sure it'll be much nicer on my iPhone though - Just not till 2008

Is there something new here that I'm missing?! I've been using the Australian Google Maps for months now.
