Hey all

I know that last year's Lego Star Wars was quite popular amongst members of this forum, so I was wondering who was going to get Lego Star Wars II - The Original Trilogy and for which platform?

The reviews of the game have generally been quite positive especially in comparison to the first game which was also widely praised. But it's been interesting to hear that while the DS and GBA versions are differnt by necessity, the PS2, Xbox and even 360 and PSP versions of the game are pretty much the same (slight difference in graphics for 360 aside). But more interesting is that the PSP version has a few extras (such as levels and cutscenes from the first game) that are not present on any other platform.

All of which raises the question for me (I have a PS2 and PSP and no interest in getting a 360) - which version to get? There's a lot to be said for the better controllers and ease of playing on a big screen, but the PSP version sounds mighty tempting (and of course its portable, which means slightly less dull commutes).

Anyway. Just flotsam, I'm sure there must be at least some people around here interested in this game - and I'd wait for a Mac port, but considering how long it took for the first game to get there, I'm happy to dive in now.

And how are you enjoying your purchase decryption? Is it as good / better than the first game?

I will purchase it for Xbox or PS2, depending on which one I find first. Was the only game that my girlfriend would play with me, as she hates violence in games, but apparantly chopping up little lego men isn't violent.

I have it for DS, and it's lots of fun, but there are a lot of glitches, which annoy the hell out of me. I hope for the sake of everyone else that these glitches are DS-only.

I have been playing it on the xbox with the wife. She loves it (not normally a gamer). Lots of fun.

The PSP version appears to have been delayed considerably, so I got the PS2 version. Loving it, the gameplay is even more fun that the last one, and the cutscenes are hilarious.

Been playing it with my fiance. A lot harder than the first one. I would say that it is more frustrating. Really hard to find those mini-kit pieces and to get the coins.
Was fun to shoot stuff up in the AT-ST.

The DS version is bugging and ridiculously frustrating in places. That said, it hasn't taken too much away from the fun of it. I'm hoping that it comes out for the Wii...otherwise I might just pick up the Gamecube version when I get my Wii.

I don't suppose anyone can help me with this game - just picked it up and I will be buggered if I can work out how to play - that I am stuck in the tutorial is a bad sign I imagine. I got it for the mac.
Cheers
