I need transportation for my new ibook 12", and I don't want to buy a bag online, I simply want to see it and feel it up close and don't want to have to pay for postage :P

Anyone have any suggestions on where to buy laptop bags in the Melbourne CBD? Do Apple stores have a wide range and would it be more expensive to purchase from there?

Thanks in advance.

Mel

PS. Hope this is the right forum to post this!

But they wouldn't have many in stock..

The online store would offer the widest range.

I bought mine at Strandbag... A black Puma...
STM would be the most popular one at Apple Store..

I actually to see an AXIO in person,

Check out the streetwise website and their laptop bags. I just bought a sleeve for my powerbook and put it in my bag.

Wanted to Buy is for trading between forum members, so I'm moving this....

Laptop bags are quite common nowadays. I tend to hunt for them in Apple Centres, unless i know of a REALLY good bag store, run by people who know their stuff. Regrettably, though there are many bag stores around, few people running them have anything like a carefully selected range of good bags.

HI,
I was out and about searching for the same thing, but needed room for my books and other things, for my soon to be mine 12 inch ibook...

I searched the apple store and from that the Tucano Cobra Horizontal Limit for 12" iBook was for me coz i carry around a A4 folder, lunchbox(youill see later ), pens, paper, headphones etc...

I couldnt buy it unfortunately coz it was out of my price range...so i went out to officeworks(they have these stores in melb?) to see what they had, and also buy school supplies,

I bought this:

Cost me $50 though and it conforms to my school uniform code, with a little colouring in with black texta.
supposedly to fit 15.4 laptops, it doesent fit my old tpg 15.4inch widescreen laptop, it doese have alot of compartments and pockets, it even holds my full size A4 folder with room (for sure) for my new ibook.

Even though that it has a padded laptop sleeve, it wont stop me from buying a vyper XS laptop sleeve
