Default World of Goo

I did a quick search and didn't seem to find anything on this (if it turns out there's already a thread, then I do apologise)

If I were to describe it quickly - it's a puzzler in which you need to build a sort of bridge to get a bunch of little goo balls across to the exit. Where the challenge comes in is with the physics playing a bit of havok, because as you develop the bridge/structure to get the goo balls to the exit, it slowly begins to warp across the level.

It's pretty charming (at least in my opinion), and the fact they've done a decent job in actually getting a real OS X port out there (coughEAcough) happens to mean it should run pretty well on pretty much everything.

I had quite a blast with it, and thought it was worth the ~$31AU easy, especially seeing it's from an 2-man dev team.

Their site is at: 2D Boy: I love you, 2D Boy!, and there's also a few gameplay videos up there as well...

Might be worth waiting a tad longer and hoping it clears up ;(

does anyone remember "the incredible machine"? Seems like a similar premise, but the implementation is way sexier.
I loved that game, so will buy this for sure.

Holy hell - TIM was so long ago...
You remember M&M series?

World of Goo is a fantastic app. I love that it's just two guys in a coffee shop, and they managed to not only make this jewel of a game but swing the deals required to get it onto the Wii.

I can't recommend this game enough. Everything about it screams polish and charm.

Default kewl game

bewdy isn't it?

I was introduced to it on a mates vista machine.

Reminds me of Lemmings!

The dev team started it as a freeware game 'Tower of Goo' I believe (dunno if its osx or not) but yeah its definitely worth the $31!

Just grabbed this for Wii tonight. Have to say that it suits the point and click interface of the Wii-motes perfectly. I much rather it than using the mouse.
10/10.
Can't get the wife off it though.

Have you bought this off Wiiware yet Taezar? You won't get any work done if you have.

It is a project for the weekend.

Kiss the weekend goodbye. Wife has been glued to the T.V for 4 hours playing the damn game. I played it for 10 minutes then handed her the controller. She was going to have a quick play to see what the fuss was about (I have been talking about this game for ages). I'm still waiting for that quick play to end.

Wish there was a Mac port (I think it's available for the PC as well as the Wii).

But there is (and it's why I highlighted it originally). See my first post - that links to the developers site, where you can purchases it for Win/Mac/Linux.

If you only game on Windows, you can also buy it over Steam.

If you've got a Wii, you can pull it off WiiWare (which was also mentioned in this thread).
