I have an amazing hard shell cover for my MBP. I was hesitant when I bought it because I was used to soft sleeves but it's proved to be worth it's money and I would highly recommend it. I drag it around in a Crumpler messenger bag and it keeps the macbook pro happy.

STM Turtle - about $70 if I remember.

I'm having a similar problem as I have a unibody white Macbook arriving from The Apple Store next week to replace my ageing and rather scratched iBook G4. I've heard good things about the Incase hardcase but I've been stalking their Twitter feed which just says hardcases for the new Macbook will be coming out "later".

There has to be somewhere else, surely. I sorta want a plastic case to put over my macbook, to prevent scratches, plus a neoprene sleeve to slip it all into.

Anyone?

I've had my macbook now for couple of weeks and can't find a hardshell case to fit yet I think it's because the shape is different and will take time for them to design one I'm surprised than they didn't know the new shape was coming but like you I would like to protect my macbook and also have a bag or case to carry it around in. So if you find one let me know

Im using an STM bag like one of the guys above and something i cant live without which is like a screen protector like material for your whole laptop. Its from BestSkinsEver. Cheap as hell, fast postage and some of the best support around. This is the link for the latest unibody macbook but make sure its right hate to order the wrong one.....:

MacBook 13 Inch Skin

only bad thing thats happened is the detergent i used to apply took all of the writing off the bottom.... i almost cried when i saw it just drip off the bottom.... but the rest went perfect and I'm happy its done.

I'm now toying with the idea of buying one of the Moshi Codex. According to the website, the Codex 13 will fit the new unibody MacBook 13''. They're available locally through Streetwise (and perhaps elsewhere), but are v. expensive. Much cheaper to buy through the Moshi/Aevoe store.

How about Booq?

They are great cases which go over the laptop, but are padded inside and have a strong shell for the outside. They are a bit pricy, but are definitely worth it. I currently have one for my MacBook Pro 15" Unibody which i use, then put it into my Crumpler bag for taking around. Check it out here: Booq Vyper XS2 (MacBook 13) Laptop Sleeve - Rushfaster Australia
