Default Upgrade! 2g Ram to a 4g Ram. Big Diffrence?

Hello Mac Talkers,

I got some money together and thinking about getting my MBP upgrade. My question is will I see a difference in my computer if I upgrade my 17" to a 4g Ram from a 2g Ram? If so what will be the difference? Speed?

All thoughts will be appreciated.

What will you be using the computer for? That will answer the question.

A big definite difference if your multitasking, virtualization and/or video or image editing.

Going from 2 to 4 was the best move i ever made! plus RAM is so cheap these days you'd be silly not to

Noticed a huge leap in performance of Aperture 2.0 when I upgraded from 2GB to 4GB.

Considering you've forked out a considerable wad of cash for the MBP, its safe to assume an upgrade of RAM is nothing compared to it.

For VM, yes, I notice that nothing was sluggish. Everything else..pretty much the same.

I think that's is exactly what I need. I got two screens running at the same time, one screen working on projects and other one is like a back up. If i need to check files I can do so without interrupting the main monitor. This helps a lot by getting work done and keeping my focus straight. When I have 5 different screens open with 3 different programs running at the sometime I noticed that my MBP is slow at multitasking.

Anyone knows the best place to get some 4G Ram?
