I bought the 2.0ghz Macbook as I've had my current one for around 18 months now.

Even though its expensive, I'm offsetting half of the price by selling my current Macbook!

Considering a 15" MacBook Pro if I can work to pay (or at least partially) pay for it as the GPU for Adobe CS4 should be brilliant..

I wanted a 15" MBP.

Now I don't know.

I don't want a MB 13" either but it's on the table now, given the prices.

As I am the proud owner of a 2-day new MBP (with matt screen) that is last generation, I won't be upgrading anytime soon. (saved approx $500 by my reckoning on the new prices)

I am concerned with Apple and all these new glossy screens they seem to only be offering now.

Is it just me or others here thinking the same?

I must be honest I like the new Macbook and would get 1 of these if I was about to get a Apple laptop. I just would rather a older Mac Book for the screen I think.

The older MacBook only had glossy aswell, it was only the MBP that had a matte screen.

I like the new design for the MacBook, but for me, it just seems to consumery for the MBP. It probably would have been a better idea if they dropped the 'Pro' from the name and just ran it as a 13" and 15" MacBook

Considering the prices especially and with the dollar at a terrible rate I'm very happy with my MBP and will keep it for another year at least. (see the specs of it in my signature below)

I have a friend with a Macbook and it does not have a glossy screen. Come to think of it it is about 2 yrs old so they might of back them.

Still I think glossy screens are bad.

I remeber when LCD first came out and one of the big things that made them good was a non reflective screen. Now everyone is putting glossy screens in there LCD's and I think this is bad.

The glossy screen i was never a fan of, but ended up with one for the air.

It works really well with the LED screens. There isn't any glare or reflection that I notice when using it outside at uni. Personally, I think that complaint is going to be put to bed.

They cause less fatigue.

I'm generalising, but the only people who really need matte screen are those who need to colour match. Generally, those people would be using expensive dedicated monitors like Eizo.
