Would it be difficult to creat an Aussie ISP "mega widget" which you can choose your ISP from a list? It'd save many the trouble of looking around for their particular ISP's version.
Other widgets i'd like to see: - Games! Stupid little games that i can dashboard in and out of.
- A web browser - so we can all check out appletalk from work

- A terminal window

there is a web broswer flaoting around somewhere.ill dig up the link tonight.
there was a bash terminal window that was released just after the wwdc build was given to devs.
there is a few games such as solitare, minesweeper and a few others around also
an ISP "mega Widget" wouldnt be easy but it can be done.
its no harder then making one for each isp.
but im limited by the fact im only with bigpond for now then ill be with internode so i can only do widgets for them at this stage.i might be able to pull off optus dialup(broadband aswell as its probably the same)
im up for it but it really depends how friendly the isps stats page is and how easily i can get the widget to login to the isps page

I was hoping someone might have made an AppleTalk widget for Konfab for the "New Posts" on the Forum. That'd just be a simple RSS reader ...
If someone isn't working on this, I'll have a shot at it (for Tiger).

Well, it's not as simple as being an RSS reader - but if anyone would like to take a shot at it email me, and we can work something out.
(it has to be a good)

i am doing one for dashboard that shows the recent posts from here and another to download the rss feed for the news items
Oh and Disko no ive had a few minutes to think about it i can do a web broswer widget.its actually very simple now i think about it.
i thought it would need a plugin but some good use of iframes will do it perfectly.
an update of widgets i will be doing.
Tv guide widget --75-80% complete
just have to impliment preference saving and fincish channel options
appletalk recent posts and news reader-0% complete
will be doing both tonight and expect to finish both tonight
bigpond/internode usage getter-0% complete
will start the bigpond widget later this week and internode in a few weeks time
web browser-0% complete
will potentially start and finish today.its a very simple widget from what ive worked out so far

you can actually include OSX's webkit into widgets - so that makes the browser even easier.

i dont even need to do that (well essentially all widgets include webkit because widgets are just webpages which are drawn with webkit).
my thinking is i have a address bar which has a text input box like a normal broswer.then i have a "go" button and when its click it will load the address in the address bar into an iframe inside the widget.
its very simple and will take less then an hour to make.
think ill do it in my lunch break

I have a question for everyone.
with my tv guide widget it will allow you to have as many channels as you want so now i need a way to navgate between them if you list takes more height then you screen.
option 1.have next/previous buttons to navigate between pages which show a user defined number of channels.
option 2.put everything in an iframe which would allow for vertical scrolling.it would not effect anything else
they are the best 2 options i have so far so please let me know which one you would prefer from an end user point of view

@islayer ... just one feature I'd want ... I'm in QLD but I have Foxtel Analog Satellite, which means when Daylight Savings happens, I get all the shows on NSW time.
will it be capable of supporting that ? I use Samurize on my PC and I had to contact the dude, who made the TV Guide for Australia. He ended up putting in an offset value, but that means I have to manually update it for DLS.
Just curious ?
for your question ...
option 1 ... most likely ... with the ability to set the number of channels shown per page and also their order.

Before you do anymore coding islayer.....
Are you thinking ahead to a eyetv module for your widget creation
It'd be cool to have a tvguide widget that could queue a recording once the show is clicked.
it was something i was thinking of but a have neither a pre-relese of Tiger or a eyetv ( it's on the list, want to get a isight first ).
