Internet Meter/Monitoring

I have been looking for quite a while for an internet meter. Despite having a download limit of 24GB I frequently an charged for excess downloads. It is also quite a pain to go to my ISP's website to check. I am looking for a utility that also does not reset every time you start up. Any help guys. Thanks

Wow. Thanks guys, solution found. Found a widget for my ISP, quite impressive since mine is pretty obscure, Exetel. Thanks again.

Bigpond New Billing System Widget

I'm almost there .....

*snip*
Hello,

I'm attempting to modify the JavaScript from this widget http://www.widgetdeveloper.com/widget.php?id=157 to use the new billing system. All I'm trying to do is log into Bigpond and parse the usage page for the relevant information.

I'm at the point where I can successfully log into Bigpond but when I try to access the usage page (https://my.bigpond.com/mybigpond/mya...ily/default.do) the response is a meta refresh page which points back to itself. Because curl does not follow this type of redirection I am stuck and unable to access the data page as I'll get a recurring meta refresh as a response with each call of curl.

Any ideas? How were you accessing the usage data?

Thanks.

I searched these threads the other day.

Would it still be correct to say that the development of a bigpond widget for the new billing system is not yet there?

I have the widget from MacPomme but it still doesn't seem to do the trick.

On an aside I did find a firefox extension that shows your bigpond information at the top of the browser. Not perfect but will do until a proper widget is developed.

Get it here....http://netusage.iau5.com/

Does anyone know of a New Zealand ISP usage meter that will work with Orcon?

Hi All

I have a little widget working with the new Bigpond Billing System. It has one catch though. To make sure it works all the time I have implemented this widget using the Bigpond XML parser put together by digitaldj. It works.

You may have a concern that your Bigpond username and password are passing through the digitaldj website. Please read: http://digitaldj.net/bigpondusage for more info on how they treat these details.

If enough people are interested in using this widget I'll publish it.

PM me to let me know.

Cheers
MacP
