i made sure i unticked that box when i installed the new version. then after my internet data usage and what not was collected the csv file is just created and the date modified for the csv file was as i installed the widget. then after a while i checked the widget options and it had ticked itself again!?

just now as i checked the widget options it was ticked again even though i never want it ticked! and a new csv file was createss with date modified just at this instant. (sorry hard to explain)

do you have that option ticked? try not ticking it and youll notice that it will creep up on you and always re-tick itself and add a new empty csv file. as i said im not really for an ugly white csv file at the top of my Documents directory.

thankyou for acknowledging the bug. i will look forward to the next release.

Rich

At the moment, the checkbox will be set to checked automatically whenever:
  1. A new version of the widget is installed.
  2. Your Mac is rebooted.
  3. Dashboard is restarted.
  4. Possibly, I haven't tested this, wake from sleep if Dashboard was stopped.
This is resolved in the next release.

The next release of the widget also writes the csv file to ~/Library/Application Support/macpomme instead of ~/Documents.

Cheers
MacP

has anyone looked at making a usage meter for tel$tra mobile broadband? not bigpond, but tel$tra mobile.

i have a prepaid Same G USIM in a Novatel modem and use data packs but its really hard to know when they are running out and when you slip into casual usage of your prepaid credit because the data pack has run out then tel$tra's price gouging reaches a new level - its about a million dollars a MB!!

you can check on the telstraprepaid site but its not real time.

Slightly off topic... the addition of making Widgets out of webpages is so brilliant... allows me to get my usage stats with my ISP (OntheNet, Gold Coast based) as my password is stored in the OSX Keychain - thanks Apple for such a genius idea!

Is the bigpond maximeter widget working or is just me? Have not been able to get the meter working for a couple of weeks now.

ok then, yes I have the latest version. I have tried reinstalling, including the certificate but no go.
Might need to wait for the next update.

Same here. Luckily I had the previous version on my laptop, so was able to replace the latest version on my iMac with it. Hopefully it gets sorted, it's a great little widget.

Does anybody know where you can download such a widget for those on 3G Broadband (wireless) to monitor those precious data bytes from Optus or Telstra etc? (I searched but couldn't find anything). If so can some one post links...

I am really interested in Ration, signed up for the beta.
Not sure how long it will take though.
In the meantime does anyone have a link for me to download Ration because I am really impatient.
