Minor update
Thanks all for the feedback. I've added screening times for dates other than today. The widget should notify that an update is available, but if not grab the new version here:

nice work mate.
I expected nothing when i chucked in my native postcode of 4552 but you were good enough to show all the movie screenings in the region.
How good is that?!
Straight to the Dashboard with this one. I need a bigger powerbook screen now.

I really like the widget... however.. I have found one problem... I live in brisbane, my post code is 4122. The cinemas it brings up are like an hour away in regional qld. There are heaps of cinemas in my area, I'd prefer to know the times that the movies are playing there. I don't know if thats a problem at yahoo! or what... but yeah.. some feedback for ya!
Thanks

4122 shows Mt Gravatt cinemas in my widget, try hitting command-R to refresh?

my postcode is 4122 as well, and I got Sunnybank, Garden City and Carindale cinema's as the first three for me.
What did you end up with?

For 4122, I get cinemas in these suburbs, in this order: Sunnybank, Upper Mt Gravatt, Upper Mt Gravatt (different cinema), Carindale, Hawthorne, Southbank. If you still have problems try removing and reinstalling the widget.

Ok, I may have gone overboard on the font here, but I think it's in keeping with the cinema theme!
New version here.

That looks really awesome mate, no point having 'boring' widgets on the Dashboard!

I'm not too sure about the new font. Seems a lot harder to read.

Initial thoughts are good with both the font and the new ability to select the day!
Well done mate!
It's been a good day today - new version here and SysStat 2!

Update
Last minute update so this widget's at least half-decent looking for Xmas
- Added auto-resize (this may be a problem for cinemas with *lots* of screenings so let me know).
- Overhauled layout and colours.
Next up is a custom icon but this won't happen until after New Year's...

the widget gets better by the minute and the new look is great but a little harder to read , i dont think its the font so much as the low contrast between the font and background.. maybe you should emulate the red led on black background from most cinemas?? or even better the different colour leds for each consecutive movie, where they have a line of red, yellow, orange then green
great work.. baffles me how its all done and autoupdates...
