Am putting together an intranet site (using MS FrontPage) and have almost finished it and now just testing links, etc.

Somewhere along the line, when creating a new hyperlink in one of the pages, I must have checked the box that says 'set as page default' in the Target Frame dialog. Now, of course, all my 'return to top' hyperlinks (among others!), return to the top, but open a new browser window while they're at it. Ugh.

Is FrontPage smart enough to undo this option? Or is my only bet to trawl through HTML coding and remove the 'target' tags in those links where I don't want new windows to open?

Frontpage...

If you're using Frontpage, you may as well make a document in word and export it as html. It is *that* bad.

But you are correct: do a find and replace for target="_blank" and replace it with " ".

yeah, yeah. I know. Unfortunately, FP is all we get at the office.

Laughably, the logic is that because it's MS, it's easy to use!

Well, I'll busy myself with find and replaces ...

cheers.
