Default Windows 7 and font problems

So I have a little netbook running windows 7. Bang up to date with all updates.

I tried to install a font, namely blackout - midnight and though it seems to install, it doesn't show up at all. I can't access it in programs, I can't see it in the font folder, I can't see it anywhere. Though when I go to install the font, it asks if I would like to overwrite the existing font, which indicates that it did actually install. I have restarted windows and tried again etc, to no avail.

Any help would be great.

I seem to be using this place to troubleshoot more windows crap than I do Mac problems

Well mister there's your problem right there...

But in all seriousness, I have no idea.
Where did you get it from? If it's free, I'll download it on mine and see if it works.

Are you using Starter or the full shebang? I think that would make a difference.

[edit] Just installed on my netbook (running Win 7 Ultimate) and its OK... though only the "midnight" variant seem to be available for use in my wordproccessor of choice which is ashampoo's office.

If you are using starter or Home basic, both have a lot of customisation options crippled or nonexistent, just completely left out.
