hey guys my dad just purchased a new plasma and surround sound dvd setup,just wondering is it relative easily setting it up taking all the wires out form the old tv the only thing we will be keeping is our foxtel iq box help please

sorry guys ok well i dont really know that much about it other than its a panasonic plasma with the surround sound speakers etc and all i need to connect to it its my foxtel iq box and television cord sorry.

Here's a tip, go and buy a HDMI cable. Your picture quality will be a million times better. And I know for a fact that Foxtel doesn't supply one with their iQ boxes. Then just plug the HDMI cable into the tv and the Foxtel box. The speakers on the other hand? I suggest an optical audio cable. That's how ours is set up at home.

There's still a lot of different ways you could set this up, depending on what inputs and outputs each device has. The simplest way is to just output the iQ directly to the plasma via the coaxial (antenna) input or component video cables, then hook the iQ audio output to your amplifier. And that's even assuming you have an amplifier and it's not one of those home theatre in a box deals where the DVD player drives the speakers...
Honestly, your best bet is probably to follow the directions in the plasma/home theatre manual. |
