just got the new imac , need some nice custom wallpapers and there arent many of the right res (1680 by 1050) out there.. im working on a few and will post em here, anyone else got some or working on some neat ones

Probably be worth your while running a Search through ATAU for 'Wallpaper', and see what has been discussed/posted in the past..

i reccomend the following wallpaper sites - not all do widesreen;

Pixel Girl Presents - great site! has lots of diffrent ones
Skins.be - WORK WARNING.... some great ones here (check up the top right, has links to movies and cars)
Deviant Art - Lots of diffrent stuff here

Ive had a link at all the sites and i think while each is good they still dont make it easy to find wallpapers of widescreen aspect without wading through the non widescreen ones and if they are good pics they have a branding or artist name..i used to make abstract wallpapers in the hundreds for pc in normal aspect so ill see if i can do something similar on the mac

Go to MacDesktops, as suggested. Set your preferences to show only your desired resolution, and from the Categories section (at the bottom), select All (4288). Most of the images at MacDesktops have their authors/designers' names at the top, to be covered later by the Mac's menubar. I don't think we should be trying to deny the authors/designers' right to announce their copyright - it may be their livelihood.

thanks for the preferences suggestion,and can i add that deviant art did have some good ones but you need to scroll through lots of pages of em first ... hey i have no objection to the guys putting their mark on their pieces , i personally would just rather have a blank desktop cause its spoils the beauty of the pic for me ... like i said.. ill have to come up with some with no author mark, thanks for the links
