I, for one, am beating myself over the head with my ipod, and assuming the feotal position. If you need me, I'll be back in '84 thinking happy thoughts..

I dunno what to think, as long as Apple makes the transition seamless and apps will run on my existing iBook, I will be happy.

Hi Guys,

Just came out of the Keynote.

The general feeling around here is that it is a good thing - which it is. In a nutshell, it means we'll get better performance from our machines.

I don't know why people view it as a bad thing. Keeping banging ibm's head against the wall for a dual 3.0G5, or go elsewhere that can deliver the goods. Intel in this case can deliver.

Well, at least they learned their lesson after the Moto debacle. "Won't get fooled again" - IBM was stagnating and Apple did not appear to be their chief concern.

At least this way, they have exposure to the world's largest chip m'fer (I'm presuming) and economies of scale should (I hope) result in price drops.

But, at this stage, who knows?
