Quick question from a Windows user

Can a back button be configured for Safari? I'm weening myself onto the browser (While still on windows in preparation for when i get a macbook) but this really irritates me. Can it be done?

Even if not on the windows version of the mac, can it natively be changed on a mac?

Are you asking for a back button in safari? It is in the top left corner of the window.... The button with the left-facing arrow on it.

What do you mean? There is a button to take you back....Don't have windows safari though, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't one.

Unless I'm totally misunderstanding you, which is definitely possible.

It doesn't say back as in IE6, it's just an arrow pointing to the left, a la Firefox

there should be a BACK button on the top left of the window (its an arrow facing backwards)
If not - you might need to customise the toolbar. (not sure how to do this on a PC, but on a mac its
VIEW-> CUSTOMISE TOOLBAR.

No command key on a PC!

I used to use Safari on a PC and there definitely was a back button. It worked the same way as on the mac - click and let go to go back, and click and hold to get a menu of recently visited pages to choose from.

You mean there is no  key I expect. There is a command key.
There is a back arrow on pc safari, just as there is for us. I thought we were looking for a keyboard shortcut. On a mac it's [ so maybe it is Command [ on a pc. Try it and let us know.

Can't you just press "Backspace" on the keyboard?

All internet browsers have back and forward buttons.

Idea for the next podcast. Worst thread, question or post of the week. This would have to win.
