Got VMWare to test out linux distros but no Windows. Never had a computer with Windows on it since I sold my Toshiba back in 2000. Even then I hadn't used it for a year.

I installed Windows XP on the smallest partition allowable simply because I could. I never use it. I thought I would maybe play some games, but I haven't. Considering getting rid of it very soon.

(btw, I was never a Windows user... always been a Mac user)

No Windows here. I've only used it at Uni ever since I got my first Mac in '05.

I rarely use Windows, but I have Vista sitting in Boot Camp and XP sitting in Fusion just in case I need them. My uni in the US gives us free music, so I have to keep XP for using Ruckus.

I need Windows for gaming. I prefer it to have a game console. But don't really need it for anything else.

I've always been Apple/Mac but I have had to have a Windows box for work.

But some time ago I decided to dig my heals in. If I couldn't translate a Word based tech document or a complicated Excel spreadsheet then I would just say so and insist on a pdf copy instead. And for spread sheets I'd ask for comma delimited dumps and an explanation of any formulas I couldn't deduce for myself.

In answer to the inevitable questions about what MY problem is I'd throw it back at them. My household is virus free with stable computers. We don't do Microsoft here. The computers are setup to maximise productivity, integrity and security.

Further questions about what I actually did with my computer(s) would inevitably follow. I recall having to bring an iMac to work so people could see me editing a video I took basically wondering down the corridors and walking into offices and getting people to say "Hi!". People gobsmacked that the software / hardware came "as is" out of the box.

After that little episode people were understanding that I didn't want to pollute my computer and diminish any data integrity or productivity.

You might not want to be as arrogant as me but I'd recommend giving it a go. Why should YOU have to bend over for the other person and install Windows or MS products on your computer!

I did install Windows once to play World of Warcraft (a fair while ago when the OS X client was terribly slow on my Macbook) but I haven't had windows installed for at least a year and a half now.

I have to admit, I still use Office 2004. At least I moved from Entourage to Mail recently (thanks to the iPhone forcing my hand). But because of work, still need access to Word and Powerpoint.

I started with about 15Gb in my Vista bootcamp partition, then wiped it and expanded it to 32GB. Soon after I wiped it again and increased it to 64GB. Getting a new 500GB HD in my MBP soon and then I'll double it again.

I use it for games. I hopeless, rarely get past the first level of any game, and often frustrated by my lack of ability, but persist because I think it may be good for my aging brain and it keeps me from getting bored at work. I play Bioshock, Sins of the Solar Empire, F.E.A.R., Crysis ( a bit jerky at full resolution), Neverwinternights2, and I just picked up Grand Theft Auto 3 but have not played it yet. I also have Sim City 4, The Sims 2 and Age of Empires 3 for mac. Pity that the vast majority of games are violent or lame.

Also have VMWare Fusion installed. No real use for it, but it is great for dazzling Windows users despite its sluggishness.

I have Windows XP using bootcamp on my MacBook Pro which is used for gaming when I'm away from home for work or holidays.

My iMac doesn't have windows on it but that's because there is a quad core intel windows box with an 8800GT sitting under the desk which is used for games (and that's all).

I can already hear the console people saying 'get a console', but the sorts of RTS and RPG games I enjoy playing aren't generally available on console.

The MacBook Air is windows free as are the 2 kids MacBooks.

I did have XP running on bootcamp, and vista on VMware, until I restored the OS, and couldn't be bothered to redo it. But, I have access to a PC, so it doesn't matter.

I have a Windows XP box for gaming, which also doubles as a web dev testing rig. I'm not ashamed of it. It has its purpose. At the moment, it's pretty much only used for Age of Conan, though.

I'd rather have a dedicated Windows rig than poison my poor Macs. They just don't need to carry that burden. Although, I did have VMware Fusion on my iMac at one stage, but I got rid of it when I upgraded to Leopard. Pretty much only used it for eTax anyway

As much as I hate it, have a VMWare XP machine with Microsoft Visual C# for a "Software Design & Development" course I'm doing, other than that… all OSX here (as you'd expect, considering I switched way back in 2003!
