I saved an utter packet on a Bose system by walking into a David Jones and saying that Next Byte had offered me a system at X price, well and truly under what it should be. Basically made up one on the spot.

No questions asked just a 'Oh yeah, I guess'

If they'd said no, I would have bought it anyway. Fun times.

And why would Apple care? Apple can't legally force or coerce a store into selling Macs or iPods at a certain price.
