RMIT Uni/TAFE Students! RMIT Mac User Club - Interest?

Been wanting to do this for a while, but never got around to it. But I think now is a good time to start a Mac User club at RMIT. Buggered if I know what we'll do, but we can get money to drink beer and talk shit about Macs and they'll give us a room to have meetings in so we can geek out - sounds good to me

The process is relatively painless, but as a staff member, I can't do it. What I can do is tell an eager student what to do and basically get you to act as a puppet for me

All we need is 10 current students and 4 of them who are willing to assume the roles of President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.

What do you reckon guys? Get all the Mac users at RMIT in one spot!

They'd be happy to have another club! The student would want to do it of course, I'll just help them along.

Times like these I wish we had this back when I was at RMIT. I was THE Mac guy back then. At least among those who know me. Did software repairs and tech support for meals Oh, the pre-Mac OS X days, replacing the System Folder did most of the trick! LOL

The most complicated issues usually were fixed by weeding out bad extensions but that's a topic for another thread.

We should be able to get 10 people pretty easily via the Cocoaheads meeting on Thursday and I've been in touch with the AUC person on campus (he's a MacTalk member too!) who can gather them up and find someone to fill the roles necessary. So when it's running, I'll PM you and get you signed up to the club
