Did anyone watch the show "The Games" on ABC while it was on a few years ago? I believe they had an episode where they got iMacs and tried to use them like PCs. :P That show was hilarious.
Just thinking about that show makes me smile

Also, as mentioned before, home and away (OK, i admit, i used to watch it) has been full of Macintoshes since the iMac

This one was funny.

Last night, about to go to bed..and I saw my woman watching some show where this guy has to make things better, time stops and he has a chance to do so, another mission complete....blah blah blah....

Anyway, there was this part where someone was on a 15" PB. And the funny part was???

he was typing away, and the little Apple logo (that lights up when the screen is on) turned off in the midst of him thrashing away at the keyboard....with him still typing.

Hmmm, I thought, wonder what he can reallly see???

then they cut back to him and the Apple logo is on again.

I thought that was funny.

The other place I have seen not so much macs, but OS X is on CSI Miami. When they are using computers to look up stuff and they do a close up of the screen, the windows are all black but you can see the three coloured circles in the upper left corner...Yelling out, CLOSE WINDOW, MINIMISE, MAXIMISE.

Rove's always use the 15inch PB.

Atleast for the past three years I have noticed.

Shame about the show

Has anyone actually seen him use it?

Fair enough.... well good for Sorny to make a laptop as sleek as the the PB.

Pitty about the OS that comes with it. Not to mention the price tag.

Sony has killer laptops in Japan.
The Sony Vaio X505 is a marvel of engineering!
Just look at it!

Click the image to open in full size.

More pics of this beauty on Icecube.Us it's US$3299 via Dynamism or Icecube.Us, which once you factor in postage and customs, would be at least AUS$5,000.

I'd kill for one of these to use at uni, bye bye heavy back injury inducing bag of textbooks! Only 785 grams and CPU isn't too pissweak either, a Pentium M 1GHz, around the same as a 12" PowerBook.

As much as I love Apple's industrial design, Sony is far far superior...

I find that generally, anything is Japan is killer compared to the crap we get down here.

The cars, motorcycles, computers, etc.....all the things I like anyway.

anarchron is correct - rove does use an apple powerbook in his show as of this year. you will notice in his promo shoots just before he goes on air that the pb is conveniently placed infront of him, showing off the glowing apple logo. nice product placement!

Just finished watching an Aussie movie on Ten called "Go Big".

They were using macs, looked like a 15 inch powerbook.

Also, tonight as well, say the guys in My Resturant Rules using a 14 inch iBook.

Exposure baby!!!

Also watched a Ten telemovie 'on the beach'. Rachel Ward (?, I think) was using a LCII with 12" monitor.

And she was using a G3 PowerBook for some of it too.

How ridiculous was that solar computer... as if.
