iPhone SDK apps, will we be able to use them?

Hi all!

Just wondering if anyone has an idea on the SDK stuff that ill come out this year.

Will we be able to get them from the iTunes US store and install them on our iPhones here in Aus?

There will be games and things that I would like to have (Just guessing) and I thought if we have the cracked phones then it may be a hurdle?

Thanks for any info anyone might have!

Kerri

My gut feel is because they work on the iPod Touch as well, then they will be available in the Australian store.

If not I'd be pretty peeved at Apple.

Regards,
Shane.

My understanding is the apps will ONLY be available through Apple's App Store which is most likely completely independent of the iTunes Store. So anyone, regardless of whether their country has an iTunes Store, will be able to get the apps.

Of course, the App Store will likely require firmware 2.0, so we'll probably need to wait until that gets unlocked.

The Apps will be available through both the new Apps Store and iTunes.

I doubt they will work on a jail broken phone, but who knows what people will be able to do.

Personally I'd guess most people will stop developing apps for the "few" jail broken phones and want to get their applications available to people through the store.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a wiener

We need to wait for iPhone software 2.0 to get the App Store. The App Store is the only way to get applications onto your iPhone/iTouch.

Unless you've jailbreaked it, then it's a free for all

You want to move this into one of the iPhone forums? I thought I'd got rid of everything iPhone from my Recent Topics :P
