Time Capsule availability ?
Hey, does anyone know if any stores have Time Capsule in stock ? In particularly Queensland (Brisbane/Gold Coast) ?
I've been hearing mixed answers from retailers....

i dont even think orders have shipped from the online apple store yet for people who ordered it on day 1. so you might be waiting another week or 2

i guess maybe more cause i ordered mine a week and a half back and my ship date is 1st April and delivery by 3rd April!!

Ohh wow, about another month away, and thats for ordering through the online store hmmm, might be still quite some time away for retailers to get them then, ohh well, just gonna have to wait it out  |

I've ordered from Amazon in the states and no update on delivery yet. If your wondering why Amazon and not the Apple Store that is because I don't have a US credit card to order at the apple store.
BTW I did this knowing I have a spare aussie plug and a US address.

Yep no problems at all I have 4 Mac's all backing up to it, even linked it to a Airport Extreme base station in the shed. When you first set it up it asks what you what to do eg: setup new, join existing and so on.

Got mine last Monday. Just copied my AEBS Profile across and was up and running in less than 5 Minuets. I ordered a 1tb model half way through February.

Sounds very straight forward then !
Question, if I already have an existing ADSL D-Link Modem/Wireless Router all in one, I would only have to connect the Time Capsule through ethernet to my D-Link Modem/Router and choose the
"I have a wireless network and want to add Time Capsule or replace an existing device on my network" ???
and then "I want to replace an existing base station or wireless router with Time Capsule"
Sorry just getting a bit ahead of myself, but id like to know the setup phase....
spuds_imac, did you connect it to your current modem ? or do you just power the device independantly ? |

I connect it to my current modem and set that up then connected AEBS to it using WDS. It is really straight forward you should have no problems at all.

Woooo...just looked at my order status page and my TC is SHIPPED!!! so excited....but being a long weekend i probably wont get it till Tuesday

Same here - mine said it was to be delivered at the end of March, but today it shipped. It looks like some stock came through early for some reason....
