Apple Store Chadstone
Took these pics at Chadstone today.
There is an existing reseller (CompNow) just downstairs, but it would be a pretty big mistake to call them 'Apple' if they were moving.
For anyone interested, it is located upstairs about 3 shops up from the 3 store, and before you get to Peter Alexander.
I'll also add that it's a massively wide shopfront (2 -2.5 normal shops wide)
Thoughts?

Could be a Apple Store, If so they might announce it at MacWorld. Or it could just be another clothes store.
Thanks

If it was a new Apple store I would expect some nice artwork up there

Maybe the construction company just reuse the doors?

Looks to me like it could be an Apple store,
but could just be a stupid name for a clothes store!

Doesn't look like the kind of place Apple would open their 1st Melbourne store - Right infront of dating tiles, gold handrails and indoor palms. Somehow doesn't seem classy enough.
But hey, they would sell a shitload of gear, and Apple is a business not a charity so I guess its feasible.

interesting that you should ask the compNOW if they are moving into there
Usually u would see the apple premium reseller logo rather than just apple

i reckon its apple as I know for a fact they were recruiting for melbourne as well as sydney. chadstone makes sense biggest shopping centre in australia, with the most foot traffic.

I should be in Melbourne at the end of the month... Shame though, I don't think they'll be up-and-running by then :P

Apple Inc are smart enough not to let shopping centre management advertise the fact they are coming until they are good and ready.

But is the Chadstone management smart enough to actually keep a secret?

I suspect a move upstairs rather than a Chadstone Apple shop.

Either way if it is Apple, or CompNow moving into a bigger store I'd be happy since I work 10 mins away. My wallet might not be so happy, but it will be better if it's Apple since the service at CompNow has severely slipped lately.

I reckon it will be some dodgy kids clothes shop or something like that. I think it Apple Australia were ready to advertise they were coming soon to Chadstone the branding on the wall would be a little more in keeping with the recognisable apple brand and logo!
The chadstone shopping centre is doing some redevelopment and I know that a JeansWest store opened another shop there in preparation for the one that will close because of chadstone are doing their redevelopment. So possibly it will be CompNow moving up there...
I would love an apple store, I just don't dare get my hopes up!
