Studio Display 17" LCD issue

Hello,
I have a studio display 17" monitor hooked up to my Powermac G5 today i've noticed it's started to
flicker and go in and out of focus.
Could it be the powermac's graphics card?
Also i just connected it up to my Powerbook G4 17" and it's clear no fuzzy stuff just like new.
Would anyone know why this would be happening?
thanks

If you leave it on the Powerbook for a period of time, ie a day or two and still no fault. Then yes you just isolated it to a possible video card issue on the G5.

it's now happening constantly from boot and not on the powerbook at all.
the G5 is under warranty.

Is that the Apple 17" LCD ADC studio display? Is it flickering on the top or bottom half of the screen?

I connected another LCD and it's the same issue but i have another 10.4 install on my other HD i booted in to that and it worked fine so my idea is that the install is stuffed badly.
i've repaired permissions etc.. didn't fix it so as i write this i'm doing a re-install.

sorry.
It was the whole screen it would just move left to right and always fuzzy.

your not going to believe this.
Zoom was on.
I know it's so simple and the only way i even thought of this was because someone here on mactalk had a very similar issue a while back and i had totally forgotten about it until a few minutes ago.
