Get Off The Damn Computer!
I'm vaguely remember a program that would tell you how long you've been on the computer and remind you to get up and stretch every now and then. i need that. anyone know what i'm talking about?

yes sounds good but the trouble is...I know I'd sit here and think ok just a few minutes more and then two hours later my butt is stuck to the chair and my fingers are frozen on the keyboard

Personally, I have to get up to pee every now and then which means I have an opportunity to go widdle waddling in my garden.
*translated to English;
Take a wee walk in your garden. Once you are there you will find plenty to do. Your computer will be asleep long before you get back.
Edit: lucky i didn't say "piddle paddle"

I find that having the computer announce the time at me every hour is a good thing, as it reminds me to move once and a while.
