Safe Sleep (hibernate) bug?

To save battery on my MacBook, I decided to enable "safe sleep" using the following instructions:
http://andrewescobar.com/archive/200...leep-your-mac/

... which worked perfectly. Absolutely zero battery consumption during sleep.
Pressing the power button is required to wake (and a 15sec wait while it wakes too).

However, I've noticed that on waking from safe sleep I lose the ability to right-click.
- Trackpad double-tap doesn't work
- Finger on trackpad + button press doesn't work
- Ctrl+click doesn't work.

If I visit the trackpad options in the system prefs and uncheck and recheck the double-tap option, everything returns to normal.

Turing safe sleep off via the Terminal restores all behaviour to normal.

Does anyone want to test out safe sleep and confirm that I'm not going crazy?

Yep, this is a known bug. Very annoying, I really wish apple would pull their finger out and fix it.
