Faulty macbook success story!!

I feel elated and compelled to share this good news story. Its been a long and ardious journey but the end of the tunnel has arrived!

A while ago I bought the rev A 1.8ghz macbook. it worked for a while, then the moooo moooo started, then the logic board failed, then the battery failed, then it randomly shut down and so the heatsink was replaced. then the logic board failed again and that was when i'd had enough and called apple customer service. (i have a very high technological pain threshold)

Dispite what others have said, i found them really good. they always returned my calls and I feel that they did their best to give me the best they could. which in this case was a replacement macbook.

to cut a long story short. I just got my new MacBook delivered. and as a 'im sorry' note, Its been bumped from a 1.8ghz to a 2ghz!

im pretty stoked. and very relieved to have this all over and done with.

one question though. does the warranty start again (i am still a little annoyed that the previous macbook spent nearly half its life in the service centre)?

Congratulations! So is the new MB C2D? Anyway, I think the warranty will stay the same As you used it in the first place to gain the new laptop, I doubt they'd reset it.

It's nice to hear a customer service success story, good one guys

I've been very happy with apple service. They gave me a new 60GB iPod when mine died 1 week before the 12 month warranty expired. The best part was that I was only iPodless for just over a week!
