I never understood the one button philosophy.
It's annoying to have to hold down the Ctr key for the right mouse option menu.

Mighty Mouse is a step in the right direction but i still believe Apple should just make a 'normal' mouse with 2 buttons and a scroll wheel.

modo: I explain the reasoning why Apple settled on a single-button mouse back in post #27 -- Apple wanted to keep things simple. Contextual menus are still considered bad UI, and the implementation of it on OSX is still a tacked-on afterthought.

Well, i guess i just don't agree with the one button philosophy. I have used Mac for years always hated the one button mouse.

And i wonder if many people agree on contextual menus being bad UI.

If one is a 3d artist and uses Maya then contextual menus are a must!

cf. my argument that explicit reliance on contextual menus is a symptom of bad design. I'm not saying the whole concept itself is bad, only when contexual menu options are the only way of accessing some functions.

In the right hands, with the right apps, contextual menus are a godsend
