Discount doesn't seem to apply to EDU purchases though
The prices aren't that great either, it's nothing you can't get from a good reseller like Maconline or All Things Computers.

There....someone said it

not a huge amount of savings...the best would be airport express...if I had the money I'd grab one (paying off a macbook, macbook pro, bbq and outdoor setting kinda cuts into the budget....then there is christmas )

stealth 1987,

Actually at around 1am the discount prices were being displayed. After you selected an item from the store then the cart sidebar would be displayed with the promo discount, but the main promo window still didn't have "shop now" displayed.

It wouldn't be a waste if it was FREE! Apple should just give it away - I don't understand why they don't. It's not like they don't have enough cash in the bank.... dotmac is overpriced and underwhelming. It would be very attractive to switchers to have a free online syncing service. Or at least make it cheaper or SOMETHING.

The only thing that really tempts me is the Airport Express, but something tells me that 802.11n
products will be available in two months at MWSF.

When's a good time to buy a 20"iMac? It went from 2299 to 2138. I've had my eye out for one for a long time, but 10.5 is coming in the new year very very soon, isn't it?

"Shopping event is available only at the online Apple Store on December 1st, 2006, from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. AEST. Sale prices are limited to stock on hand and while supplies last."

Like many of you, I checked the site at 1-3am and... nothing.

I doubt 10.5 will be out before mid 2007

Really? I am so not with it. I thought it would be out sooner than Vista, which no longer made it before Christmas.

Lots of comments about the sale not offering huge savings... true perhaps but I ordered an 80GB ipod and got free delivery and free engraving and a discount of around $40. Go and buy $40 worth of fish & chips - it will take a while to get through all of that! So, whilst the saving weren't huge it was $40 I could spend on something else. So I did!

Since they were also offering the Nike/ipod sport kit for for my 8gb Nano for $41 instead of $48 usually (I think).

Oh yeah. all shipped and on its way!
