By "pair" does that mean you're not considering 2.1 solutions?

I have the Logitech Z4's, and they sound awesome. I spent about 20 mins going through all the speakers on display with my iPod, playing the same song so I could hear the difference between them all. The Z4's won hands down. They're not the most expensive, but at $169.00 RRP they're not cheap either. I haggled them down to $145.00 at Clive Anthony's. The Z4's are a 2.1 system with an external wired remote.

We got a pair of the powered Scandyna Micropods with Microsub today, and they are pretty rockin'.

Logitech make some nice solutions if you want an all in one unit thats simple, but fairly limiting.

I got a set of Altec Lansing FX6021 2.1 Speakers. I am very happy- they can really pump it out. However, I was surprised at how big they were. The photo was rather deceiving for me lol.

Good luck, Dave

If you buy from the US you can get them for around $109 USD - with shipping thrown in you should be able to get them for around or under $200 AU (they run on 240v or 110v). Otherwise $269 AU is the cheapest is found them on the net.
