I'm a little surprised at just how shallow the store is. I expected it to go much further back - not that I'm complaining. Now, how long before some douche drives through the front? Wouldn't want to be his/her insurer...

Well you shouldn't be.

The plans have been in this thread for a while and have been reposted a couple of times and they showed exactly what we're seeing now.

I don't mind really, it will be tough for the opening but during normal hours it's plenty of space considering that Apple doesn't have that many products.

That is the most beautiful sight i have ever seen! On the second level, is that a picture of the iPhone or the iPod Touch?

looks like an iPhone to me, but it could just be the excessive amount of light causing a silvery shine around the edges >>

Cannot wait, the store looks breathtaking, Apple must put great amounts of time in making sure every one of their stores has no flaws or oddities

Yeah - I saw the plans but I suck at translating the numbers into corresponding real life space. I guess I just imagined it would be as deep as say the recently opened Boston store.

Very cool.

I feel that there will be a hell of a lot of new switchers over the coming months.

From memory the second floor had alot of iPod advertising....nothing obvious re: iPhone. I would expect Apple would be playing it pretty safe...

These "mega" threads can be so frustrating.. Unless you have followed them the whole way you have no idea what has been said.. The first post should be constantly updated by the person that started the thread.

PS. Store looks awesome

Well - I hope they have something in place to prevent RAM raids. That looks like an ideal candidate to me.

I really do wonder how successful this store will be. Is the Australian market big enough to sustain such a huge undertaking on Apple's behalf?
