I am going to back the actor might know if he is doing Mac commercials.

Seems to be an example of just post something to a blog and everyone just assumes it is true.

I read or heard someone suggesting that a good twist/development for these ads would be for the PC guy to become a switcher and replace the Mac guy.

Actually, I think that would work quite well - as then would have someone remembering what the 'old' days were like and emphasising how great things are now on a Mac.

Alas there's a logic hole here: The PC guy is not a PC user he's an actual PC, ditto for the Mac guy. Unless Apple starts allowing OS X to run on non-Apple hardware it will remain impossible for PC guy to even cross-dress as a Mac.

That explains everything, looking around my office most of the pc users MUST be cross dressers

Justin Long himself says...

As for the Mac commercials, I don't know where that report came from that said I wasn't going to do it anymore – I’m literally setting my alarm right now to wake up for a Mac shoot tomorrow -we're doing some holiday spots now which I think will be pretty funny. They’re easy to do, I love John (the pc guy) and working with him is so effortless and fun that I definitely wouldn't rule out doing some more.

haha Dave you and your Colbert obsession. I swear its unhealthy, but I encourage it
I think I liked Justin Long best as Zerk Wilder in "The Sasquatch Dumping Gang"

Or maybe as Warren Cheswick in Ed.

Never the less the "Hi I'm a Mac" line did get old fast. Although you try and tell me you didnt feel a teenytiny ounce of pride when you first saw it all.

Did you folks notice Justin Long has denied he's been dumped. He's doing the next set of ads as we speak.
And John Hodgman can't become the "Mac guy" because they play computers, not people.
