Does anyone know how frequently apple sends you promotion codes by email?

I want to purchase an 80gb iPod and since they removed the education discount, this seems to be the only discount i can get

I found one in my email that expired on the 30th of September, that I recieved on the 23rd, so will I have to wait till the end of this month you think?

I've never received promotion codes from Apple. Is there something you need to sign up to in order to get them?

I got one after I bought Tiger from the online store. They seem to send one a week or two after you buy anything from the store. Mine was valid for a month.

I was not even aware that Apple had promotion codes in the first place :blink:

*edit in response to forgie* I have bought plenty of stuff from the online store and I never got any promotion codes :blink:

I bought a refurb nano for my girlfriend and they sent me a "save money on some ipod accessories" $15 discount about 3 weeks later, but like i said, it was only valid for a week.

If it hd been valid for 2 weeks i'd have my ipod on the way now

Maybe they only send them to you after you buy something?
