My winter set-up - meditation chair on a carpet covering a "hot carpet" on top of Japanese straw tatami. MacBook Pro C2D on the right. Wife's Powerbook (my old one) on the left. The rest is a crossed-over oddity - the mini outputs to the TV and the Kubuntu server under the TV is connected to the 20" display.

No, actually hamsters are very clean, tame creatures. So long as quality odour absorbing bedding is used in their cages and they're cleaned weekly, their cages don't smell much at all and the hamsters themselves have virtually no smell. They are nocturnal and can be pretty noisy during the night if they have wheels or other toys in their cages which can make noise but hamsters themselves rarely make a peep unless they're in pain (like getting a foot caught in something.)

Unfortunately, hamsters are not available in Australia (at least not legally) as importing them is banned.

With my new 20" Dell monitor that I'll be taking back to work with me for use with the Macbook after the Xmas break - I just put the other pic up because I wanted to show my massive At The Drive-In poster!

Well, I finally got around to taking some photo's of my setup.

Firstly, in the lounge I've got the G4 Mac Mini running Front Row as my media center The Wii is on the opposite side of the TV:

And then I've got the 24" iMac in the spare room, that I like to think of as the computer room
