Here is my setup #1 after I purchased a new desk today. My new favourite room in the house. My wife isn't much of a fan though. Sorry for skewed picture as I don't have a wide angle lens and room is too small to move further back. Just did a quick photomerge with Photoshop.
Setup #2 is my lounge room. Comprises iMac G5 connected with EyeTV for DTT and EyeTV Hybrid, upgraded 400GB HDD and LaCie 18x DL DVD burner. iMac connects to Sony KVHR32M31 HD TV when I feel like it. Connected to TV is a Wii, Playstation 2, Xbox, Topfield TF7000H HD-STB and Harman Kardon DVD-22 player.
Enjoy

The Red Room

Cable management to follow. Next additions will be 2 x 1500 VA UPSs for a total of 6000 VA and 2 x clamp lamps on either side of the desk. The left side is where I do my bookkeeping and the right side is where I work on clients' Macs. The two 8 cores are connected by dual-gigabit with one NIC for local services, the other for Internet connections to Cable and ADSL for redundancy. On the right side of the desk is an 8 port Netgear GS 108 gigabit switch for quickly connecting clients' machines to the net and/or file sharing.
In the rear of the office are shelves I recently had put in pictured below:

How do you guys make the external monitors show the menu bar at the top when extending the desktop with a laptop? I have always wondered....

From memory...
The option is under the "Displays" pref pane, under the arrangement tab, there's a tick box; "Mirror Displays". The only limitation is the resolution of the external display will be the same as the internal one.

in sys prefs - displays, drag your menubar to the external display and the laptop will remember it even when unplugged and replugged in...
picked up an ikea galant desk myself the other day and very happy with it...
