Played around with live a bit but not enough to appreciate it fully.
No experience with peak or cubase.
Keen to try logic after dabbling briefly with garageband.

Before you try Logic, try Ableton Live 6
Peak is basically an audio editor like Audacity. Reason is lots of fun too, but I now use Reason just for instruments as opposed to using it as a DAW (that is where Live comes in).

My turn for a repost. I moved my MBP back from the vertical stand to my iCurve as we were playing around on IRC with webcams.

I have a...
- Power Macintosh G4 "Sawtooth"
- 400mhz PPC 7400
- 640mb RAM
- 240GB HDD
- 16mb ATI Rage 128
- Compaq 7500 17" CRT (VERY Nice Display)
- Apple Pro Keyboard
- Microsoft Intellimouse
I'm thinking about throwing an Intel Core Duo Mac Mini in here with the current external peripherals. I have to add that a 400mhz G4 is not to be underestimated. It's very fast for a 400mhz.
Probably because it's a PowerPC.

Damn that's a nice and spacious apartment Currawong!
I would post a pic of my first apartment in Japan but I was never able to take one that didn't look like I was photographing the inside of a tumble dryer.
