It's not free, but Emailchemy can convert anything to anything else in terms of email.

Import your mail from PC Outlook Express into PC Outlook and then use this little tool to convert:

It is very easy using Outlook Express if he has .Mac

I moved all my emails over.
I just created my .Mac email account in Outlook Express (as IMAP naturally)

dragged all my emails in there - which put them onto the Apple server...
then turned on my new Powerbook, created my .Mac email account in there...
and VOILA!

They copied all of them from the server to my Powerbook... then Ijust moved them around as I wanted.
I had about 10 folders of emails (40GB), which then I copied over one folder at a time.

Was easy - all the headers, dates, details all remained the same.
