I want!
I need!

Can you imagine the iTunes visualisation !!!

Thanks for the link
Pretty cool.

OK setup costs (not including the VERY special software to run this puppy or RAM)

200 - 30" monitors: $799,800 AUD (No discounts here - we are dealing with Apple Australia, you have to remember
100 - QUAD G5s : $529,900
100 - QUADRO FX 4500 512 MB SDRM: $249,000

Total for one for your bedroom:
$1,578,700

Now you know what to add to that Amazon dot com wish list you have been building for the holi-daze.

Actually, their site says they did it with a ~US$384K grant. That's not bad. All dual 2.7GHz G5s.

Oh, and there's only 50 displays (10x5). But never mind the fact that each has access to 1TB of space on which to store processed data :P.

I wonder why they used Cinema HD displays over the likes of HD Plasma or something?!?!?

I love my 30" - A few more would be nicer.

It'd look even cooler if the displays were frameless.

Ooooh. Maybe that'll be the look of future Cinema Displays. Imagine how awesome OS X desktop without fames around it would look. Like it was really hanging in mid-air above your desk. Do the same for the iMac and everyone will want one... or 50

Go on Apple, do it! B)
