It's Sunday night and I got nothing much to do so I decided I'd write a little review on a recent case I purchased, the
DLO Jam Jacket MultiClip for iPod touch (first generation).
The case is a silicon case, black in colour, which is a nice colour and all, but DLO really should have made a white option, as I'd have to agree with numerous other reviews I've read, that
white particles and such are picked up easily, and are easily visible. However, if you don't mind that, then it's a pretty good case.
The main feature of this case is the MultiClip at the back of the silicon case itself (hence the name). It has a few features, but a downside is that it doubles the size of your iPod touch, heh.
The first feature of the MultiClip is that it can easily be attached to your belt or something
like a belt, and allows you to listen to your music while having your iPod touch easy access if you need to quickly get it out. It shows the world you have an iPod touch, too, which can be a good or bad thing. Good if you want to show off, bad because if someone asks you if it's an iPhone and you say no they'll probably glare at you. Anyway.
The second feature is the stand. This is a great idea, actually. Unlike the DLO VideoShell case, which, while having the stand built in and not adding extra bulk, has a little flimsy stand (from experience), the stand here is very durable and feels rather 'snappy'. You snap out the X-Shaped belt/stand...material and it's a sturdy stand for video viewing =)
The last main feature of the stand is that it can be used to hold and manage your earphones, if you don't like having them in your bag, pocket, or just loose on your iPod. You just wind it around and you're done. Smart, and easy.
The clip takes the features of the Jam Jacket with Headphone Management, and the DLO VideoShell Crystal Case, and puts them together in one soimple (although bulky case).
The silicon is pretty good, and if you were to drop your device, it would be pretty durable and help in absorbing shock. The case also comes with a DLO Surface Shield screen protector, which if you take the time to put on correctly, works very well. It covers the whole front surface, except for the home button itself.
I really recommend this case for the protection it provides, and its usefulness. It isn't a case for those who want a thin case, as it's rather bulky.
But you can buy it for $11 at the MacTalk store, which is great ^^
