Default Web Host Help Do i Need a Dedicated IP

ok im currently with Web Hosting, Domain Name Registration & Reseller Accounts :: MD Web Hosting iv been very happy with them but I think i have fount a better offer Web Hosting - Shared cPanel Linux Web Hosting Unlimited Disk Space, Bandwidth, MYSQL Database, Subdomains and a few other things. its going to be a photography website. my next bill is over due with MD from my email changing over and haven't advise everything yet therefore it is suspended. I have a domain i want to link up to my hostgator host if I change over. domain is with Domain Registration Australia | Cheap domain name registration, web hosting for .com.au and yes it allows you to remove DNS.

So dose that make a dedicated IP Important?
What is a dedicated ip?
What dose it do?
Is there a use i can use it for?

Is Switching over easy I just add the DNS things onto my domain like last time and request for cancelation on my MD account? (And of course remove MD DNS)

If not ill just go the $4.95 US a month.

Its does, not dose. That is bugging me no end.

You will be fine (looking at your site) with a shared ip address. A shared ip basically means that there might be several servers running behind that ip address, and that the ftp you login to is not the ip ofthe server but your domain name. Really its nothing. A dedicated ip is nice, you can test things before you point your domain name there etc etc.

Remember that price is in $US. I can give you a coupon code for that site that will get you a few dollars off at least.

Its goes not gose, are you illiterate?

In some ways, cove is a lot better hosting, cheaper too if you take into account that hostgator is in $US (and you can get 30% off if you know how, on your first bill, which can be quite considerable). Australian based too. It really is up to you though.

A dedicated ip really is not needed in this case, nor really is massive amounts of bandwidth (like mactalk or something, I wonder how much mactalk goes though?)

Surely Dictionary should be flagging these as errors for you?
Spell checker won't spot it as dose is a word too - "take one dose every three hours".
A grammar checker is required here.

Dedicated IP addresses are only useful if you have SSL certificates. Otherwise, you're fine just going with a shared one
