A UVC camera should work with 10.4.11 on the P'Book, unless anyone else is happy to prove me wrong.

Be sure to consider the Logitech camera I mentioned in my earlier post here - if I sell my own PowerBook in the next few days it will be up for sale, being only 8-9 months old it is perfect nic. It is definitely worth having a mic built into the webcam when using with the P'Books - the XBox cam doesn't, and so you are competing with the speakers right next to the inbuilt mic. Not good..

Skype Video
I connected my video camera to do some editing on imovie 06 last nite and suddenly my skype video works with the sony video camera connecting thru the firewire. Is there a way to use the usb webcam or do I just stick with the video camera with firewire as the webcam?
