It's simple, you make an uninformed decision, unaware of the plans/prices with Optus or any other carrier, basing a release date off what you were told by some dude that works at Optus shop who has a vague idea of when WWDC is.

if it arrives and sells out in days or even the first week I'd be annoyed.
Mind you, provided I've had enough time to decide what plan is the best I could go down and get it first day or release so I better not miss out that early
