Default HTPC Mac Mini: Can't get LCD TV to display

I be perplexed.

I acquired a 1.6GHz Core Solo Mac Mini (Early 2006) to use as a HTPC from BoxDog (awesome seller by the way), but I'm having trouble getting it to work with the TV.

Now, I've got a Soniq QV320H LCD TV which (while not being the best I know) has played nicely with an iBook (connected via Mini DVI to VGA adaptor), a MacBook (via Mini DVI to VGA), a MacBook (via DVI to S-Video) and a MacBook Air (via micro DVI to VGA adaptor).

I can't get the mini to display on the TV via an Apple DVI to VGA adaptor (decided to get this adaptor as all the others have worked via DVI to VGA).

I was planning on using the TV as a monitor for it instead of running it as a headless unit.

I've changed the resolution to everything possible, but still the TV states "Unsupported".

I've tried SwitchResX and Display Config X as well and I still can't get it to display. I plug my Chimei Monitor from my G4 MDD into it via DVI and it works beautifully.

I've even tried upgrading Tiger to Leopard (with all updates) on it and still nothing!

So, I'm at a loss. Does anyone know what I can do or have any suggestions? Google is out of thoughts.

Arrrggghhh!!

Turned it off and on really really fast...

No... what I actually did was turn on VNC and connect to the Mini when it was connected to my monitor, then disconnected it from my monitor and connected to the tv, I had done this a couple of times before and it didn't work, but this time, it did.

The screen came up on the TV, I had control of it both from my MBA and the keyboard and mouse with the mini, problem solvered!

No idea why it didn't work any of the other times...
