Default Refurbished Apple LED Displays, MacBook Airs & Other Bargains
The Apple refurb store has those fancy LED 24" displays for $1299. So if $1499 was too much, $1299 might be more palatable.

There are also some crazy cheap MacBook Airs - 9400M chipset, 1.86Ghz CPU & SSD for $2,299.

Mac Mini's are $799, perfect for HTPC operations.

I was in Myers at Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast and they had 23" Cinema displays on special for $999.

I didn't ask how how many they had left though.

Um, not really. Do you know what the response time on those things are? 14ms! And since you can really tell the difference between 8 and 2ms, how awful is 2ms going to be? I can answer that, pretty shocking.
