If they're sending things like this out, it's going to be a very leaky weekend...

I imagine that some resellers would have opened their package but would have not told anyone. Also I can't wait to be first to congratulate Mactalk and Decryption on their all but confirmed scoop. It will also bring to light how news.com.au fell behind and will imho also be behind on niche news topics. The tech reporter who slurred the story should feel embarrassed, I would if I failed to find the story when being paid to. I feel that news.com.au(News Corp) couldn't find a story if it didn't come off the wire or a press release.

Yep CT scan its 3D and good resolution compared to a ray that is 2D and low res.
CT would only take a 1 minute

I can confirm the box is real and not a hoax - I saw it with my own eyes. My source isn't opening it though, as even though we are both *dying* to know what's inside, the source isnt' going to risk opening it when the 10th isn't too far away (and probably because if it is opened, I will find out and tell you all and then he's really fucked!)

Hmm the box looks like it's a reasonable size.
I speculate that there could be a few iPhones in there 4-6?
In the USA they have a table setup with iPhones on them for people to come and pick up and play with.

Now I'm excited! A mate who works in shipping also said that there were unmarked pallets sitting in storage.. Why would they ship a whole bunch of iphones right away? Oh I want to believe!!

The upshot is that it doesn't specify a time on June 10 when they are allowed to open the box (as with Harry Potter for instance which was opened simultaneously around the world). So the Resellers can open it at midnight on June 9/10 and obey the instructions on the box, and they'll see what it is before Steve even says a word

Decryption I know its a bit lame, but is it possible to all meet up on Monday night somewhere, then at the stroke of midnight open up the box with your mate? I for one would surely be in if it were in Melbourne somewhere. Maybe make a BBQ dinner out of it or something?

I am *so* glad that I'll be on a Scout camp for the long weekend without net access - and be far too busy looking after them all to worry about this!
That way I can crawl out of bed on Tuesday morning with every joint aching
and find out what happened :-)

I don't know whether to take time off from work or not.. probably not as it'll probably be just a display model for stores till the real one comes a week later...
