Swisscom have
confirmed that they will carry the iPhone. No word on the other alleged details (mobile TV, GPS, flux capacitor etc).
GeekSugar
claims that the 3G iPhone will be announced June 9 (duh) and available the same day (wha?). Not sure how this would fit with the leaked
AT&T vacation freeze period, which begins June 15.
The 1st generation iPhone shortage has now led to a
limit of one per customer at AT&T stores, so if you're after one of these you may be in trouble... unless you go for one of the
refurbished 16GB models Apple is now selling.
In potentially the biggest news of the day, Intel Germany's CEO seems to have
inadvertently confirmed the iTablet:
As part of an Intel event for the 40th birthday of the semiconductor company at Munichs BMW World, Germany managing director Hannes Schwaderer confirmed today what has long been a rumor on the Internet: namely, that there is an iPhone with Intels new Atom chip. The device is slightly larger than the current version, Schwaderer said. That is not, however, because of the Intel chip, but because of the larger display used in the new iPhone.
Wonder if this will be pre-announced at WWDC for an
August release...

IntelliScreen.
And in non-multitouch news, Macworld
benchmarks the current generation of iMacs against the previous generation. It's amazing what a difference two and a half years makes.
Finally, if you don't have your WWDC tickets yet, you're out of luck. Apple have
sold out the event for the first time.
